Breakaway Camp is an annual 5-day (4 night) summer camp for teens, purposefully designed to provide opportunities for students to explore faith in an environment suited for spiritual growth and the development of meaningful relationships with peers and mentors, amidst all sorts of excitement. Breakaway continues to serve as a strategic tool for youth pastors to provide discipleship to their students and connect with their teens outside of the regular weekly routine. As many past experiences indicate, Breakaway has the potential to serve as a catalyst for spiritual growth for both individuals and groups.
Youth Breakaway I - Monday, June 30 - Friday, July 4
Youth Breakaway II - Monday, August 18 - Friday, August 22
- YB 1 registration deadline is June 1 at a cost of $270, and
- YB 2 registration deadline is July 20 at a cost of $270.
Bus transportation is provided to and from the camp site (Emmanuel Convention Centre in Lewisporte NL) at an additional cost of $80/student.
Payments can be made via EMT or at the Church Office. Send EMT to give@bethesda.ca and put student name and YB in the memo.
Bus to YB departs at 10am. Be there at 9:30 for load in. Bus will stop in Clarenville for a lunch break on the way to YB, but not on the return trip as departure happens Friday immediately after lunch.
• Youth Breakaway I registrants must be in Grades 6-8 as of January 2025.
• Youth Breakaway II registrants must be in Grades 9-12+ (max age of 19) as of January 2025.

Actual registration cost for this camp is $270 per student. The bus is the recommended method of travel, but if you’re in the area of Lewisporte as a family and prefer to drop off and pick up directly at the camp, feel free to do so with the awareness of Pastor Crystal. Read the Waiver/Permission document throughly to ensure you’re aware of proper pick up and drop off times.
If the $270 registration and $80 bus fee’s are too substantial for your current financial circumstances, please contact Pastor Crystal to discuss sponsorship.
If you would like to sponsor the cost of a student attending this camp, please provide $270 for the full cost of a student plus $100 bus fee, or give what you can. If giving online, select Youth Registrations as the area to designate your giving. You can also give on a Sunday via the debit machine, or cheque/cash in an envelope and note ‘YB Sponsor’ on the envelope.
Registration deadlines are not flexible, please complete the attached form and return it to the office by the deadline to secure a space for your student.
Please keep in mind, sending an email doesn’t replace a registration form. Forms must still be completed in FULL by the respective deadlines.
