Teen Sunday School Classes (Sundays in 9 & 11am Services)
This class is taking a small break until Sunday, September 13th!
we are trying a new-ish thing
Teen Sunday School Class isn’t entirely ‘new.’ But with the completion of the building expansion, we are excited to have enough space in our building to take a step into deeper discipleship with our teens. Discipleship is at the very heart of what we hope to accomplish in this setting.
What to expect
We began with a class for students in Grades 7-9 in the 9am & 11a services introducing them to the Alpha Youth Series, navigating what we believe.
Now that they’ve completed the Alpha Youth Series, we are excited to continue both classes with additional discipleship focused studies. Students will make their way to the teen classroom when the younger children are dismissed in the service.
We usually have some snacks together and may also play a game or two.
Ultimately, our desire is to spend this time growing in our faith, understanding of God’s word and the church. Students can expect to be challenged and should come with a posture of participation and preparedness.
Students will be dismissed as the service concludes. They do not need to be checked out of their classroom by a guardian and will be allowed to come find you. If you’d prefer for them to wait in the classroom for you to pick them up, please discuss that directly with your student.
Don’t forget to serve
We believe that there’s tremendous benefit to students in serving at church - either to younger children or alongside adults. As you plan your Sunday, don’t miss the chance to consider how to give your student both experiences. Maybe consider serving in one service and attending one service as a family.
Both 9am and 11am classes are projected to resume on Sunday, Sept 13.

What’s our next step?
We are looking for volunteers who may be interested in helping to lead these gatherings. We’re also praying for people to help us create some Sunday Morning discipleship opportunities for older students (grades 10-12). we will take these steps when we feel confident about them.

Some things to think about
This isn’t a Bethesda Kids Church Program. This is offered to our students through Lytehouse Youth.
There will likely be more breaks in our Teen Sunday School schedule that do not relate to the scheduled breaks that may happen with Bethesda Kids.
Some snacks will be provided, signing up below will help us know how to prepare.
Students can be brought to Teen Sunday School for the 9am service and also attend 11am with their families if that works best for your family. If a family is dropping off a student - 9:40am is typically the time children are dismissed to kids church - which will also be our gage for when to start our class. Note that each Sunday, the start time may fluctuate based on the service flow.
