Join a TEAM at LYM
SET UP TEAM
The set up team are a key part of every LYM gathering! This team sets up our environment from week to week, ensuring that it’s at its very best when the rest of our friends arrive. Commitment works with students availability/schedule. Students arrive for this team at 5:30 PM, dinner is provided.
WELCOME teAM
The welcome team are the friendly faces ready to greet you as soon as your arrive. This is an ideal team for the outgoing individual who wants to help others find fun and friends at Lytehouse. Sometimes they wear lanyards, sometimes silly hats, always a smile!
WORSHIP TEAM
Our worship team includes individuals who have some prior musical abilities and want to use that talent to honour God in this setting. We believe that a core part of being on a worship team begins in with a heart of worship. Students on this team are expected to be available for special training.
Media Team
This team is made up of students who like to serve behind the scenes with our audio and digital experience. Students who are not easily distracted, enjoy enhancing the service experience from behind a sound board or manning powerpoint software should seriously consider this team! Some training is provided at LYM and during Bethesda Sunday Services. Media team volunteers are expected to be available to serve at 5:30 PM on Fridays (dinner provided).
YA Leadership Training
This is especially for students making the transition from High School to Young Adult. This is a great opportunity for students entering grade 12 and recently graduated High School. This team will be connecting with Pastor Crystal and other YA leaders in learning how to step into a YA leadership/mentorship role at LYM.
Our hope is that this training will include a combination of practical learning, problem-solving, leadership opportunities, and discipleship.
Content Team
This is a new team who help brainstorm fun ideas and capture video/photo content for Lytehouse Social Media. Another smaller team where they’ll be asked to capture certain clips so that we can later edit them together into something fun for Lytehouse social media.
Bethesda Kids Team
Youth are welcome to volunteer with Bethesda Kids during Sunday Kids Church, Vacation Bible School, and more! This is a great opportunity to serve in the larger church and also learn compassion and care for another demographic!

Student Leadership Team
The student leadership team is a small group of students who work with Pastor Crystal and a few YA leaders to help strategically plan and coordinate the LYM schedule, events, and opportunities. This team of students are leaders who not only serve at LYM but also give oversight to teams themselves. Space on this team is limited, but worth the application process if you’re curious about growing in leadership in this environment!
